The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education was established in 1975 under The Jammu and Kashmir State Board OF School Education Act, 1975 to advise the Government on matters of policy relating to Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Higher Secondary Education and other matters pertaining to promotion of Education for All.

Everyone in the society is directly or indirectly linked with the Board of School Education. The fast transmission of timely, precise and adequate information can help the institution in decision making at every level and in implementation of the policies of future developmental plan.
The access to information is fundamental and democratic right of every person. I am happy to say that the Board of School Education has launched its own website to fulfill the Boards commitment to the society – students and parents.
