The Govt of AP approved the proposal of APGENCO to set up a Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) named as Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company Limited (APPDCL), a Joint Venture Company of APGENCO(with 50% equity) and IL&FS(50% equity). After completion of major activities of development of 2 X 800 MW Coal based Super Critical Thermal Power Station near Krishnapatnam in Nellore Dist, APPDCL is reconstituted with 51% equity of APGENCO and 49% equity of all four APDISCOMS.
